Terms of Service

Draft. These terms are a working draft written for the private-testing period and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. They will be replaced by a final version before paid subscriptions start.

1. The service

Personal Cinematheque lets you keep a private catalogue of the films you own and want to own. Film information and images come from TMDB. Your own entries (location, notes, ratings, wishlist) are yours.

2. Your account

You must give a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

3. Private testing

While the service is in private testing it is free for invited people, features change, and data may be reset or lost. Do not rely on it as your only record: use the download buttons on your account page.

4. Subscriptions (after testing)

When paid plans start, payment is handled by PayPal. You can cancel any time from your account page; cancelling stops future charges. Refund terms will be listed here before the first charge.

5. Your content and your data

You keep ownership of what you enter. You can download all of it, or delete your account and collection, from the account page at any time.

6. Acceptable use

Do not try to read other customers' data, overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful.

7. No warranty

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or for decisions you make from film data supplied by third parties.
