Privacy Policy
Draft. A working draft for the private-testing period, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It will be finalised before paid subscriptions start.
What we store
- Account: your email, name, and a password hash (we never store your password itself).
- Collection: the films, locations, notes, ratings and wishlist entries you add.
- Feedback you send us.
- Technical: a session cookie so you stay signed in, and short-lived records used to limit repeated failed logins.
Who else sees it
Your collection is private to your account. The site owner can see account details (email, name, collection size) to run the service, but does not browse your collection.
Services we send data to, only as needed:
- TMDB receives the film ids and titles used to look up film information.
- A barcode lookup service receives a barcode number when you use "Scan barcode".
- PayPal handles payment when paid plans start; we do not see or store card details.
- Our email provider delivers confirmation and password-reset emails.
We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.
Your choices
- Download everything from the account page.
- Delete your account and collection from the same page. Deletion is permanent.
Cookies
We use one essential session cookie (and an optional "remember me" cookie if you tick that box). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
